Dear Future 3rd
Graders,
I
am so excited to meet you and begin our year together in September! I hope you enjoy time with your family and
friends, have some fun vacations, relax, and have a great summer. 3rd grade is a very important year
and I know you will want to spend some time this summer preparing. I encourage you to read every day and work
on a few pages in your Summer Solutions Math Book each week. By doing a little bit of work each week, you
will ensure that you do not forget the skills you learned in 2nd
grade, and you will begin 3rd grade ready to learn new things!
I
hope you will read several books this summer!
Please complete 4 Reading Response choice activities from the attached
sheet on separate pieces of loose leaf paper.
Please bring your Reading Responses and your completed Summer Solutions
book to school on the first full day.
Please
review the 3rd grade supply list on the back of this page so you can
be prepared for school in September. If
